Net Curtains

Site-specific piece made for Lost, Found, Imagined exhibition installed in the curator’s home in London. The fragile nature of the protection of net curtains from the invasion of the outside world into the home is exposed here though the use of porcelain. This piece shows a frozen moment, showing evidence of one point in time like a 3D photograph. The Tear or crack in the surface shows the real nature of the material therefore rupturing expectations of the surface image, questioning the curtains history and role in the home.
